Beast's Burning Questions

So… uhhh… yo.

I’m hyped by how well this whole thing has been going! Team Beast has gotten some pretty great traction, and I have some other REALLY dope stuff coming up both related to Team Beast and unrelated. Which brings me to this; I’m an incredibly impatient person and my mind races 24/7 so I kinda always wanna be working.

Until the business bullshit and stuff gets cleared, I’m gonna do this as a way of making content. So I thought the best thing to do for a first blog is a little intro type thing, so here we go! These are the answers to the burning questions you didn't know you had about the enigma known as Patty Beast!

The first thing that came up when I googled questions was “50 questions to connect with your partner on a deeper level” but then you all would probably figure out why I’ve been single since the 6th grade (huge middle school relationship guy). After that was “50 questions to get to know someone” on epicdash.com and they have a direct link to Pinterest so I assume its trendy and shit… so that’s the one I’m using. I’m only answering the ones I think are cool or that I care to answer because, deadass, do you really care “what [my] least favorite mode of transportation” is? If you do, Rutgers Buses…

“What’s the #1 most played song on your [Spotify]?”

Lemme pull up Spotify real quick. My guess right now is Homicide by Logic ft. Eminem, available on all streaming platforms ;)

My most played artist of 2018 was Em. Also lots of Logic, SonReal, Token, Kels, Sinatra, Adele, and Zedd lol weird mix. Lucky You was my most played song for a hot minute. Wait… am I a Stan?

“What is one of your favorite quotes?”

Actually, I have a word from the quote tattooed on my arm. The quote is from my favorite song by SonReal, titled Believe. The hook says “If I gave you something to believe in /Could you say my name? / And if you gave me something to believe in / Could I do the same? / Like, if I make you smile, if I make you smile, I’ve done my job at last / And if you make me smile, if you make me smile, Then we all gonna laugh”

“What is your favorite body part?”

(Purple grinning devil emoji)

“What sound do you love?”

I love an old-school hip hop beat. Think Illmatic by Nas or 36 Chambers by WuTang.

“If you could choose anyone, who would you pick as your mentor?”

Can I say myself?

“If you could learn to do anything, what would it be?”

Walk…

Ouch haha we’re getting uncomfortable REAL QUICK

(I love crossing lines)

“If you had to work on only one project for the next year, what would it be?”

Ummmm… you'll see later this summer ;)

“If you were immortal for a day, what would you do?”

I’ve been immortal for about 8,000 days and counting BIOTCH

(I do realize how obnoxious I sound and I’m hoping you read this and go “aw haha he's just acting up for the views” so my mom can quickly assure you I’m like this all the time)

“If you could meet anyone, living or dead, who would you meet?”

Jesus Christ. I feel like that’s kinda an obvious answer but the dude literally died and came back to life! That’s #beast

“If you could be any fictional character, who would you choose?”

Patty Beast! Wait…

“Which celebrity do you get mistaken for?”

George Clooney

“What would you name the autobiography of your life?”

Patrick Higgins : Becoming Patty Beast

That was oddly specific…

“What songs are included on the soundtrack to your life?”

Believe by SonReal

Invincible by Machine Gun Kelly

Beggin' by Logic

I Mean It by G-Eazy

Swing Life Away by Machine Gun Kelly

Home by SonReal

Rabbit Run by Eminem

Therapy Session by NF

Victory Music by Machine Gun Kelly

Letters from the Sky by Civil Twilight

Oceans by Hillsong United

Kindest Regards by Witt Lowry

Said and Done by Luke Gawne

And obviously Lose Yourself by Eminem

“What was one of the best parties you’ve ever been to?”

My 21st was WILD! It was on a Sunday night and a bunch of my best friends had just graduated and started working full time but came anyway. I had taken probably 8+ shots before midnight and I think at midnight while they sang happy birthday I chugged New Am straight from the bottle. When I got to the bar, my boys were buying rounds of tequila and then it was night-night Beast. One of my last memories was being unable to hold a drink so my friend was holding it to my face for me. Then at some point in the night, one of my best friends was feeding me potato wedges and when I decided I was done, my boy’s girlfriend at the time got in my face and goes “no, keep eating” and forced another wedge in my mouth. Then I woke up the next day to texts from all my boys that said “no one I’d rather be drunk at work for” haha I got some awesome fucking people around me.

“What was the last movie, TV show or book that made you cry or tear up?”

Coco, the Spanish movie that Disney made. I think as someone who’s kinda throwing it all on the line to do what they love and chase their dreams, those kinds of stories will always get me. It’s really scary to throw certainty and dependability out the window and do something that people say “won’t work” or “can’t be a career”.

“What’s the hardest thing you’ve ever done?”

Create and run Team Beast. It’s especially hard to run a nonprofit when you do it alone, without any kind of backing or corporate ties. I refused to attach Team Beast to any larger entity for fear of losing creative freedom. I had a vision for a new form of nonprofit that had never existed before. I commonly refer to Team Beast as the anti-nonprofit because I thrive off of doing things thought of as controversial or “not a good look”.

On top of that, I’m putting my heart into this organization and all of the content that will soon come with it. I’ve talked about shit I’ve never told anyone. I touch on things that probably shouldn't be put out to the public. I made some shit that has happened with certain people that should stay private, very public. I can’t pull punches if I actually want people to give a damn about this movement I am giving my life for.

“What’s the best/worst gift you’ve ever given/received?”

I mean, I play a dick most of the time when I’m in “Patty Beast Mode” but literally any gift I receive is great. The idea that I mean enough to someone for them to think of a gift that I would like, is enough. It’s just the thought behind the gift that means a lot to me. Any gift with sentimental value or that’s thoughtful is mad cool. I’m not a huge possession guy.

“At what age did you become an adult?”

A what?

So that’s all. Again, this is kinda just a short introduction to Patty Beast. I’m gonna start blogging here, just sharing ideas and things. Might toss some album reviews or story time type shit in here cause why not. I’m gonna be putting up a new blog/article once a week at least.

Ummmm… yeah… that’s it.

You’re welcome for the invigorating read.

Forever and always,

Patty Beast
